Application and Registration Process for Class 11
Now that the Class 10 results have been announced, the application and registration process for class 11 will undergo a slight change. Parents should first submit the Student Application Form (available below), along with a copy of the result sheet. No fees will be levied at this stage.
Upon receiving the form and result sheet, we will try to make a quick determination as to whether a seat can be granted immediately. The yardstick we will use is this: The closer the average percent is to the government determined cut-off, the more easily we will be able to grant immediate admission. Conversely, the lower the score, the more likely we are to hold off on granting a seat. There will thus be no clearly set cut-off point for Pelkhil as it will depend greatly on the general trend in marks obtained by applicants.
For commerce applicants we will use the English + four best subject scores to compare marks. For science applicants we will use your Math + Science scores as an additional metric. As you would note, these are the standard government adopted yardsticks. Again, the higher your score, the better your chances of acceptance. The scores of other applicants would also be a factor: the higher the average, the more picky we are likely to be, especially since our goal is to be a very high quality educational institution. We will accept low scoring students reluctantly!
If a seat is granted you will be informed immediately, upon which you should then complete the registration process (see next section below), including the payment of the non-refundable registration fee of Nu. 1,200, in order to secure the seat. We will do our best to make quick admission decisions in order to allow you to consider your alternative options.
Please note that students who registered before February 12, 2010 are not subject to this cut off process - your seat remains confirmed regardless of your marks!
